Nepalgunj / UNV CCTV Camera Production Company held a Knowledge Sharing and Technical Workshop in Nepalgunj on Saturday for dealers from Banke and Bardiya, technical personnel, and IT officers from government offices.

The company, which manufactures cameras in China, has been selling CCTV cameras in Nepal since 2011. According to the company’s Sales Manager, Sardak Adhikari, UNV ranks among the top three CCTV brands worldwide. He stated that UNV holds the No. 1 market position in CCTV usage in the Gandaki, Lumbini, and Sudurpaschim provinces of Nepal.

Adhikari claimed that most government offices and local bodies in Nepal have installed UNV CCTV cameras. The company currently produces cameras ranging from NPR 3,000 to NPR 700,000, all of which are waterproof. The cameras come with a warranty of one to three years.

“We have around 300 dealers across Nepal and have already conducted knowledge sharing and technical workshops in most regions,” he said, adding that after Nepalgunj, the company will organize another workshop in Dhangadhi next Saturday.

Addressing the event, Prashant Bista, Mayor of Nepalgunj Sub-Metropolitan City, said that after food, shelter, and clothing, security has become the most essential need. He informed that the city is preparing to install CCTV cameras in key areas with an investment of around NPR 25 million in the current fiscal year and assured cooperation in conducting similar workshops in the future.

The event was attended by SP Ankur Joshi, Chief of the Banke District Police Office, Assistant CDO Purna Bahadur Khatri, and DSP Chakra Dambar Pal, Chief of Kohalpur Area Police Office, among other guests.
