Nepalgunj / Tree plantation program was organized within the premises of the Nepalgunj Health Post, Ward No. 12, under the powerful slogan Trees for All, Trees Forever.

The event was a joint initiative of BAS (BAS Nepal) Environmental Department and its Banke District Branch, aimed at promoting greenery and environmental sustainability in the area.

More than two dozen saplings of various valuable and environment-friendly species including Gulmohar, Moringa Jacaranda, and Bel were planted during the event. The plantation was carried out with the objective of transforming the health post premises into a greener and healthier environment.

The program witnessed active participation from various stakeholders including Namaskar Shah, Executive Director of BAS Nepal; Hement Raj Kaphale, Environmental Department Coordinator of BAS Nepal and Nepal Planting Director of 8 Billion Trees; Hemraj Bhatt, Director of BAS Nepal and Co-Coordinator of the Environmental Department; Ramu Chidimar, President of BAS Banke Branch; former branch president Shobha Thapa Magar, and several enthusiastic local residents.

Coordinator Hement Raj Kaphale informed that Green Campaign led by the BAS Nepal Environmental Department total of 2,300 trees will be planted this year, with 100 saplings allocated per ward across Nepalgunj Sub-Metropolitan City.

BAS Nepal Banke Branch has been actively working in the region to promote good governance, environmental protection, and awareness-based community activities.
