Gajendra Malla ,Kathamandu / SABAH Nepal is NGO Funded by SDF ( SAARC Development Fund ) established in 2009 .work for regional integration in south Asia, through policy ,dialog and engagement with eight  countries government .Sabah Nepal  has 45 thousand members all home based workers those who are not recognized by Nepal Government .Sabah Nepal make them visible providing them with different skills and training SABAH Nepal focused on strengthening livelihood opportunities for home based especially women living in the SAARC  region. The Village Café is an initiative of SABAH Nepal for Food processing and in order to promote Small farmers, preserve Indigenous seeds, Traditional food and promote local culture. The Village café main purpose for reviving traditional cuisine in the market as well as to give a platform for women home based workers of SABAH Nepal for visibility and credibility for their skill .Directly 60 and in directly 300 women involved for food processing. Nepal is also the most densely inhabited mountain country in the world still we are faced Environmental threats and Climate change, global warming has been added to the threats to endangered life forms that inhabit Nepal’s fragile ecosystem, 1/3 of forests in Nepal are managed by local communities, new research shows that when communities manage local forest, both poverty and deforestation is reduced in Nepal. Forest are critical to sustainable development i.e. Regulating climate, sequestering carbon, harbor biodiversity, Forest also contribute to the livelihood of millions of people. Local communities currently manage 13 % of the world’s forests.  Study shows that 4.3 % relative reduction in poverty, 37 % relative reduction in deforestation if we make small contributions could play an even greater role in achieving multiple sustainable Developments Goal. It is incredibly important that we protect our native plants and trees. Trees and agroforestry play an important role in food and nutrition, as well as income and environment.

In one way or other our actions have contributed greatly to the effect of climate change, the question now is what are you doing to curb the effect of climate change? Are you part of the solution or you are still the problem?
