Health Awareness Program Successfully Conducted at British Boarding School, Nepalgunj

Banke, Nepalgunj / A comprehensive one-day health awareness program was successfully organized at British Boarding School, Nepalgunj under the “Moringa for Love” campaign. The initiative aimed to enhance the knowledge and preparedness of teachers and staff regarding basic health care practices and emergency response techniques.

The program focused on equipping participants with essential life-saving skills and practical knowledge that can be applied during critical situations. Teachers and staff members actively engaged in the sessions, gaining valuable insights into how to respond effectively in emergencies both within the school environment and in daily life.

The chief speaker, Dr. Patrick Chou, CEO of “Moringa for Love,” delivered an in-depth and interactive training session on emergency health care. He provided step-by-step guidance on how to perform CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) on an unconscious person, emphasizing the importance of timely action in saving lives. In addition, he explained the correct procedures to follow when a person is choking due to food or other obstructions in the throat. The training included hands-on practice using a medical dummy, allowing participants to experience real-life simulation and build confidence in applying these techniques.

Adding further value to the program, environmentalist and principal of the school, Hement Raj Kaphale, highlighted the significant health benefits of Moringa, locally known as the drumstick plant. He explained that regular consumption of Moringa can provide essential nutrients, strengthen the immune system, and contribute to overall well-being. He also emphasized the role of Moringa in promoting a healthier lifestyle and encouraged participants to incorporate it into their daily diet.
The program also witnessed the presence of an international volunteer from China, Muksi, whose participation added a global dimension to the event. His involvement reflected the growing international collaboration and shared commitment toward health awareness and community development.

School founder Bijay Shrestha expressed his feeling and satisfaction with the program stating that learning about such crucial and life-saving techniques, especially CPR, was highly valuable. He extended his heartfelt appreciation to the organizers for bringing such an important initiative to the institution.

Overall, the program was highly interactive, informative, and impactful. Participants expressed their appreciation for the practical knowledge they gained and their increased confidence in handling emergency situations.
