The President of SAARC Journalist Forum, India Chapter Bihar, Dr. Shashi Bhushan Kumar, informed that the Chief Guest of the conference will be the current Governor of Bihar and former Governor of Sikkim, Honorable Shri Ganga Prasad. Distinguished guests attending the conference include Dr. Sarita Budhoo, international cultural ambassador and spouse of the former Deputy Prime Minister of Mauritius Mr. Harish Budhoo; Mr. Raju Lama, International President of the SAARC Journalist Forum from Nepal; Abdul Rahman, International General Secretary of the SAARC Journalist Forum from Bangladesh; and representatives from Thailand including Dr. P. C. Chandra. In addition, nearly three dozen international guests and about half a dozen Padma Shri awardees, including journalists, litterateurs, and research scholars, will participate.
Moreover, renowned Indian news anchor Chitra Tripathi and representatives from several Indian states are expected to attend, bringing the total number of participants to around 200 delegates.
On the first day (04 January), several sessions will be dedicated to mother languages. In the open session, journalists, writers, and poets will be able to present poems or share their thoughts in their respective mother tongues. In the evening, a cultural program featuring folk songs and dances will be organized.
On the second day (05 January), participants will be shown and briefed on the significance and grandeur of the historic ruins of Nalanda University, followed by a guided tour.
